Hamid Lamraoui is CEO and co-founder of UroMems. He has led the development of the company since its inception, resulting in a unique mechatronics implantable medical platform aimed at serving high unmet medical needs in different indications. Hamid built a vertically integrated company and succeeded in securing over $100 million in financing. He holds advisory positions in multiple medical device companies and projects, and was involved in the development of several new implantable medical device concepts. Hamid obtained a Biomedical engineering degree from Aix-Marseille University in France in 2007 and a PhD degree from Grenoble University in France in 2010 in the field of biomedical engineering. He received the IEEE EMBS National PhD Thesis Award in 2010 and holds 16 patents.
