Pr. Daniel Elliott is a practicing urologist at the renowned Mayo Clinic, specializing in treating fistula, pelvic organ prolapse, rectocele, urinary incontinence and voiding dysfunction. Pr. Elliott’s research interests include female urology, prolapse, vaginal mesh complications and artificial urinary sphincter for the treatment of male incontinence. He has received a dozen awards and honors including the North Central Traveling Fellowship Award, Second Place Best Poster Western Section American Urological Associate Meeting, and back-to-back Best Reviewer Awards from The Journal of Urology. Pr. Elliott leads as the chair of the Clinical Competency Committee, Department of Urology at the Mayo Clinic.
He is also an active member or committee member of nearly 20 urology and medical societies and associations including Young Society of Urodynamics Female Urology, International Continence Society Artificial Urinary Sphincter Standardization Committee, Society for Urodynamics & Female Urology Education Committee, International Pelvic Pain Society, Section of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons, European Association of Urology, International Urogynecologic Association, Society of Urologic Prosthetic Surgeons, Society of Minimally Invasive Robotic Association, American Urological Association and more. Pr. Elliott was a fellow in Neurourology, Urodynamics and Voiding Dysfunction at the Baylor College of Medicine, served as a resident in Urologic Surgery at Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education, Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and interned in general surgery at Mayo. He received his BS in biological Science from Biola University and MD from Loma Linda University School of Medicine.
