Johannes joined Wellington Partners in 2020 as a Senior Associate in the Life Sciences team and was promoted to Principal in 2022 and Partner in 2023. Prior to joining Wellington Partners, Johannes was a Management Consultant at the Life Sciences practice of LEK Consulting, where he managed and executed numerous projects for leading pharma, medical technology and laboratory supplies companies as well as private equity investors. With his team, Johannes provided M&A support, developed corporate strategies, assess organizations to enhance their performance and explored product strategies for analogue and digital assets in multiple geographies. Johannes holds an MSc in Biochemistry, a PhD in Biotechnology and a Medical Doctorate from Technical University Münich, Germany. As part of his PhD research at King Abdullah University of Science & Technology in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, he explored the fundamentals of Artificial Metalloenzymes (ArMs) and developed a novel scaffold as template for future ArMs research.
